Lindsay Sproul grew up in the small coastal town of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Her first novel, We Were Promised Spotlights, will be published on March 24th by Putnam/Penguin Random House, and her second novel is under contract. Her short fiction has appeared in Epoch, The Massachusetts Review, Witness, Glimmer Train and other publications, and she has received fellowships from The MacDowell Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Gullkistan Iceland. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a PhD from Florida State University, and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The New Orleans Review and an assistant professor of creative writing at Loyola University New Orleans.
